Zafar Khan has degrees in Economics, Accounting and Law. His career started as an auditor with one of the big four accounting companies, Ernst & Young and progressed through to the level of
audit manager within five years. Mr. Khan’s 25+ years of experience in finance and accounting, both in the United States, Europe and Middle East, encompasses business of every size, from small
startups to Forbes 100 corporations.
His professional experience includes financial and internal audits of public and privately-held clients in banking, oil, construction, healthcare and shipping industries, as well as international experience with multinational companies in management consulting, audit, tax planning, forming and management of off-shore companies. He speaks several European and Middle Eastern languages. His work experience includes assignments in major international financial centers; i.e. London, Luxembourg, Frankfurt, Geneva and Toronto.
Currently, his practice includes accounting services, financial and internal auditing, tax and financial consulting. In healthcare , he has set up and managed international hospital projects, and in telecommunications, he has managed international companies.
He has also served as lead advisor to the Ministry of Defense, in Saudi Arabia, helping to establish a Financial Advisory Department for the management, control and monitoring of the Ministry’s government funds.
He has been active in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.
